We have decided to leave 2nd semester enrollment open for now to allow parent/guardians to enroll students as the Covid numbers improve or more people get vaccinated. We must have a completed enrollment for your child to be enrolled in A-3 After School and start attending. Your child may not begin attending until the following Tuesday after the enrollment is returned. A3 will continue to offer virtual A-3 on Monday and Wednesday this semester for virtual students. If you would like your child to attend the virtual option, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know. Students already enrolled in A-3 do not need to re-enroll. If you have any questions, please call Natalie Lierle at (405) 590-5550 or Robin Wade-Lynn at (580) 458-2868.
Basketball Info 2020-2021
We have had a great start to our year so far! Our parents, students, and our staff have worked very hard together to make sure that we are able to offer traditional, in-person school for our students. As the start of basketball season approaches, we must start looking at what measures we must take to insure that we can play. We want to continue having extra-curricular activities for our students as long as it can be done safely. In order for this to happen we feel that we must take some precautions to keep everyone safe.
Basketball as you know is played indoors which according to health and science professionals increases the spread of Covid-19. As a school, we are requesting that anyone that attends any basketball game wear a mask. This includes all levels from elementary to high school. This is not only for the safety of the person wearing the mask, but the people around them also. Everyone in our Fort Cobb-Broxton Community has worked very hard to stay in school and limit the spread within our school and community. We feel this is a measure that we can take that will continue to limit the spread. This will also greatly increase the likelihood of being able to continue to offer in-person education as well as allowing fans to attend extra-curricular activities.
We are going to request that visiting teams coming to our gymnasium for games also wear mask at all times. We hope that if another school request the same of us, that we as a community will respect their request as well. This is just a small sacrifice that each of us can make to be able to continue to watch our student athletes compete this basketball season.
At this time, we plan on limiting capacity at high school games only. All high school athletes will receive 4 tickets to home games the day of the game to be given to anyone they choose. Anyone entering the game will need a ticket. During HS games we ask that all fans social distance and wear their mask unless eating or drinking. Tentative plan is to use the 1st and 4th rows of chair backs on home side and socially distance in rows above chair backs on home side. On visitor side we will use 2nd and 4th rows as seating and socially distance on rows above chair backs. The west half of the visitor side will be set aside for Fort Cobb-Broxton fans and players. The east half will be set aside for the visiting fans and players along with OSSAA pass holders not from Fort Cobb. We ask that all kids please sit with their parents and when the games are over please exit the gym as quickly as possible. No one will be allowed on the floor after the games at this time.
The concession will be roped off and everyone will follow social distance guidelines while in line. Money will be taken at the south end of the concession by staff.
We have also partnered with SKORDLE to live stream each event both home and away. Website: FCBMustangs.TV
We appreciate your cooperation during this unprecedented time.
