Unplug to Learn

WHAT TO KNOW:
Students are prohibited from using personal electronic devices-including cell phones, smart watches, wireless earbuds, personal tablets, and similar items not issued by the school from beginning bell to ending bell of the school day. Consequences for violation and exceptions to this rule are outlined in the district-approved policy and handbook. This restriction applies only during the instructional day and does not include extracurricular activities before or after school unless otherwise specified by the district.
NEW OKLAHOMA LAW:
Oklahoma Senate Bill 139, signed into law by Governor J. Kevin Stitt on May 3rd, 2025, requires all public-school districts in the state to adopt a policy prohibiting the use of cell phones and personal electronic devices during the instructional day. Fort Cobb-Broxton Schools will implement this new policy beginning in the 2025-2026 school year.
EMERGENCIES:
If a student needs to communicate a life-safety emergency during the school day, they should immediately notify a teacher or administrator at their school site. Staff will ensure that appropriate support and communication take place as quickly and safely as possible.
